The Role
You will lead the Plant Logistics, Stores, and Resource Management teams, coordinating plant assets, materials, inventory, and all operational resources. Your primary mission is to ensure every site receives the equipment and support it needs for excellence, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery.
- Full-time position based in Burscough.
- Permanent opportunity with immediate start available.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Plant Logistics, Stores, and Resource Management functions to deliver safe, efficient, and effective support.
- Promote and embed a culture of safe systems of work, identifying and managing risks and reinforcing safety standards.
- Manage change through robust planning and communication, ensuring all changes are implemented safely and effectively.
- Develop and inspire teams, ensuring high levels of capability and competence to deliver operational excellence.
- Control inventory, plant assets, and resources, driving efficiency, accuracy, and optimal utilisation.
- Monitor KPIs and champion continuous improvement across all operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, company, and industry requirements, supporting audits and driving improvement actions.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships across operational, project, procurement, and support teams and with suppliers.
- Model values of teamwork, accountability, and creative problem-solving to instil a high-performance culture.
- Drive the adoption of digital and data-led decision-making for better results and business growth.
Skills and Experience
- Operational knowledge of logistics, driving resources, and stores management.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing operational teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with all levels of the business.
- Track record of identifying and delivering operational improvements and efficiencies.
